The Fluke 2042 is a professional cable locator is ideal to locate and track cable runs through walls and underground, fuses / circuit breakers in electrical systems and locating interruptions and short circuits in cables and systems of electrical floor heating. It can also be used for the localization of heating pipes and water pipes of metal. The instrument comes complete with transmitter and receiver in a special carrying case. The receiver also incorporates a torch function for working in dimly lit places

  • Set includes a transmitter and a receiver
  • Encoding digital signals to ensure a clear identification of the signal
  • Transmitter with LCD display indicating the intensity and the code of the transmission signal and the external voltage
  • Receiver with backlit LCD display indicating the intensity and the code of the receiving signal and live circuits
  • Automatic or manualsensitivity of signal reception
  • Ability to activate an alarm when receiving signal
  • Automatic shutdown
  • Torch function for measurements in dark places
  • Additional transmitters are available for extension to distinguish between several signals
