The Fluke 1630 uses the test Stakeless, which avoids having to disconnect systems grounded parallel and find suitable locations for placing auxiliary ground stakes. It represents a saving of time and allows utilities to industrial equipment and specialized technicians performing troubleshooting on site to conduct checks of ground loops in places where it is impossible to use other techniques, including inside buildings or on power poles. Using the test method without pole, ground rods are no longer required. The Clamp Meter Fluke 1630 Earth is placed around the ground rod or cable connection. A predetermined voltage is produced by half of the clamp and the current is measured by the other half. The tester automatically determines the resistance of the ground loop at this ground connection.
